Dining
is my way of relaxing and enjoying moments with friends and family. After a
long day’s work, I deserve a rewarding treat – a hearty meal. There is no
question that malls are one-stop destinations, with the array of dining to
offer and certainly it has become one of the facets of the present generation’s
fast-paced lifestyle. But Rustic Mornings by Isabelo in Marikina is one of a
kind.
Marikina is not just popular because of its clean
streets and shoe industry, but because it is a good place to find flavourful
food from restaurants to turo-turos.
Restaurants, bars, grills, canteens, and café’s within the city are filled with
delicious and affordable food to choose from.
Isabelo
is set in an ancestral house in the heart of Marikina City. From the outside,
you will not be able to spot the restaurant; there are no logos, no directional
signs, nor welcome messages. But when you are granted access beyond the gates,
you will find a beautiful garden with a tall Balete tree and hanging vines. Inside and outside the house you
will find conversation-piece accents and decors; bottles and pans, pictures,
and other interesting items.
There
is a wide variety of choices but their prized specialty, the Osso Buco requires prior reservation.
The featured dishes are Italian Paella, Tender Beef Bourguignon, Roasted Pork
Crackling, etc. The price ranges from P500 to 1,500 per person. Operating hours
is from Monday to Sunday (8am to 4pm). In the evening, it’s from 6pm to 12mn
(Monday to Saturday), with no walk-ins.
Isabelo
was born out of a dream from just accepting personal orders (for specialty
dishes). Named after the street at which it is located, Isabelo, whose direct
translation means “My God is Bountiful”, has become a cozy, “feels-like-home”
garden restaurant where everyone and anyone can bask in the artistic warm
ambience while enjoying abundant good food.
Isabelo
is near the Cafe Kapitan Restaurant and the "Dambana ng Ina ng mga Walang
Mag-ampon" church.
